Dr. Anne Kastelic, Principal
Dr. Anne Kastelic began her teaching career in mathematics at Shawnee Mission West, where she taught a variety of math courses and coached the dance team. She joined Blue Valley in 2016 as a math teacher at Blue Valley West.
Her administrative career started with an internship at Blue Valley North, followed by a role as assistant principal at Blue Valley Southwest, where she served as assistant principal for curriculum and instruction. She later became principal of Blue Valley Southwest.
Dr. Kastelic earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education with a minor in leadership studies from Kansas State University. She holds a master's degree in educational administration from the University of Kansas and earned her doctoral degree in educational leadership (PK-12) in 2023.
Family is a priority for Dr. Kastelic. She and her husband, Zak, have two children, Kaden and Kinsley. Both enjoy attending Blue Valley Southwest activities and cheering on the Timberwolves.

Mr. Rasmussen began his career in education in 1994 as a teacher and coach in Harrisonville, Missouri. At Harrisonville High School, he taught business education courses and served as head coach for both the boys and girls soccer teams. In 1998, he joined Shawnee Mission South High School, where he taught multiple business education courses, was head coach of the girls’ soccer team, and varsity assistant coach for the boys’ soccer program.

Mrs. Huseman began her career in education as a teacher and coach at Blue Valley West. Throughout her time in Blue Valley, she has taught and coached within both the Blue Valley High and Blue Valley West communities. She has experience teaching in Career Technical Education as well as Physical Education. At Blue Valley West, Huseman taught a variety of classes, served as department chair, and was head coach for the cross country and track teams.

Dr. Cory Cox serves as an assistant principal at Blue Valley Southwest High School, where he provides leadership in academic programming and student services. Before joining Blue Valley Southwest, Cox served as an assistant principal at Blue Valley North High School, supporting curriculum, instruction and assessment while partnering with staff to promote student achievement and continuous school improvement.
